TaxiForSure gets integrated into Ola cabs app, Uber not worried

After acquiring it in early March, Ola cabs has now finally integrated TaxiForSure services into its own app. The TaxiForSure’s hatchback service will now be an additional option alongside Ola’s Mini, Sedan, Prime and Kaali Peeli services on Android.
The company also took to Twitter to announce this integration. While TaxiForSure and Ola indulged in a rather long conversation to announce the integration, Uber made a snide comment asking users to continue using its cheapest UberGo services at Rs 7/km. However, Olacabs hit back taking a snub at Uber’s constant price surging, and how this rate is never applicable. Here’s how the entire conversation panned out.

This service goes live in Mumbai and Delhi from today, and will be rolled out to other cities gradually. It is important to note that this does not mean that the TaxiForSure app is shutting down, as the company confirms that it will continue to be fully operational separately as well.
However with this integration, Ola Cabs users now have an additional option to choose from apart from its wide array of cabs. In the Android app, a new TFS icon will pop us as a separate category. By clicking the ‘Ride Now’ button, users can book a cab, see its movements just like how it works on the normal standalone app.
The TaxiForSure integration is currently only seen for Android users, and it is unclear when iOS users will get this new feature.
